Crystal Waters Music Club is proud to present Mama Buluku! A celebration of primal rhythm and the powerful life force it awakens within us. An exhilarating display of music, movement and song, inspired by West African traditions merged into contemporary offerings where the big bass Doun Doun drums have become fused with the dance. This all-women’s ensemble raises a high vibration and energy flow with feverishly intricate beats, innovative choreographies and a collective expression of spirit that empowers and uplifts.
In just over a fortnight after this performance, Mama Buluku will be heading down to Canberra to perform and teach workshops at the National Folk Festival. They will be working hard in preparations for this high-profile event and are thrilled to share a couple of new dance pieces with you, performed for the first time, at Crystal Waters Music Club.
The Bizarrely Quartet will be opening the night with a special set of soulful folk-rock to get hips moving.
Tickets are currently $25, and will likely be $45 at the door.
Doors open at 6pm, and music starts at 7.
Both the Bakery and Ikigai Cafe will be serving special treats for the event, and the Co-op Bar will be serving an array of beers, ciders, and wines as usual.

Crystal Waters Music Club welcomes the public to join us on the last Saturday of every month for our Musical Soiree beneath the stars from 6 until 10pm on the Deck.
Audiences will be delighted with a unique program of music performances, showcasing headline acts from around Australia, and also local acts, emerging and submerging, from our very own vibrant music community.
